Police arrest alleged perpetrator of homicide in San Francisco de Macorís

Barahona, RD.– Agents of the Intelligence Department (DINTEL), in coordination with members attached to the Southern Regional Directorate of the National Police, managed to arrest a man who was actively sought by judicial order for his alleged involvement in a homicide that occurred in the vicinity of the Palace of Justice of San Francisco de Macorís, Duarte province. The detainee was identified as Richy Alberto Hernández, 22 years old, residing in the National District, Santo Domingo, who was captured while traveling in a vehicle on the main avenue of the municipality of Jaquimeyes, in the province of Barahona.

According to the preliminary report, Hernandez is identified as the alleged responsible for the death of Luis Gustavo D’Aza, alias “Nini”, an event that occurred on August 26, 2025, in the vicinity of the Palace of Justice of San Francisco de Macorís. The detainee was transferred under custody to the corresponding jurisdiction, where he will be subjected to the legal processes established by law.
