Santiago. – The judge of the Permanent Attention Office of the judicial district of Santiago, Stefany Santiago, ordered this Tuesday three months of preventive detention against Ronny Abel Sánchez Morillo, alias “Mudita”, accused of the homicide of Rafael Nicolás Puello Santos (Bulilo), which occurred on March 19, 2024, and also indicated in the case in which five men lost their lives in an alleged confrontation with police officers in the La Barranquita sector.

The magistrate ordered that the accused comply with the coercive measure in a penitentiary center that was not revealed for security reasons. According to the accusation, Sánchez Morillo would have shot at Puello Santos from a moving motorcycle, when the latter was sharing with relatives in the vicinity of his residence, in the Hato Mayor sector of Santiago. Investigations by the Public Ministry and the National Police identify him as the leader of a criminal network linked to contract killings, arms trafficking, kidnappings, and forced collections related to drug trafficking debts. The defendant was among the ten most wanted men in the Northern region, which has aroused great expectation regarding his capture and subsequent judicial process.
