There was no interest, no pressure, and no results,” Calderón stated on one occasion.

Among the hypotheses raised by family members, the possibility arose that the child had fallen into a river near the place where he was last seen. Although this version was considered plausible within the investigative process, no evidence was found to confirm it.
The prosecutor for Girls, Boys and Adolescents, Pedro Veloz, stated in the midst of the investigation that “this was a case of vital importance for the prosecution”, and that they would conduct interviews to investigate clues about his possible whereabouts. It is recalled that magistrate Olga Diná Llaverías, head of the National Directorate for Children, Adolescents and Family (Dinnaf), also met for several hours with members of the National Police and with various organizations that were carrying out the search for the three-year-old minor. Upon leaving the meeting, the magistrate was reserved and refused to offer details about the progress of the search. To this day, they have not revealed any progress on what happened to Roldany.
