Ednita Nazario ends her tour in DR: “I dreamed of this closing in my second homeland”

Santo Domingo, RD – Veteran Puerto Rican singer Ednita Nazario performed on Sunday night at the National Theater of Santo Domingo with the last performance of her international tour “DESAMOR”, in an evening where her greatest hits came to life in the voice of thousands of fans who accompanied her in each performance. At 8:54 p.m., the main stage of the Eduardo Brito National Theater was illuminated with the powerful energy and unmistakable voice of Ednita Nazario, who opened her performance in the Dominican Republic with the iconic “Vengada”.

This song, released in 2005 and full of emotion and strength, marked the beginning of an unforgettable night, full of passions and memories. From the first minute, Ednita made it clear that it would be a night to remember.

The musical journey continued with “Tú sin mí”, a legendary piece within his discography and one of the songs that has most touched the hearts of the Dominican public who have followed his career. With lyrics that reflect the sadness of a farewell, it was one of the most emotional moments of the night.

Then followed a wide review of his extensive discography with interpretations such as “Te quedarás hundido”, “Eres libre”, “Eras uno más”, “Para el peor amante”, “Por ti”, “Tantos nos amamos”, “Llorar por ti”, “Tú sabes bien”, “Devuélveme”, “Después de ti”, “Lo que son las cosas”,No vuelvas”, “A que no le cuentas”, “Más mala que tú”, and again “Tú sabes bien”, among others. Visibly excited, Ednita expressed her gratitude for being able to fulfill the dream of closing this tour in a place she considers her “second home.”

“Finally! Wow, how exciting. How much I had to wait for this night to happen, but I am extremely grateful and excited. After a long stretch, this tour has been wonderful, it has brought us very emotional, very beautiful moments, but I dreamed of this grand finale in my second homeland. Here we conclude what has been an experience of love and heartbreak, and frankly, I lack the words to thank you for the opportunity to come and say goodbye to this tour in one of the most beautiful places on the planet,” she said with a laugh, also commenting that more than a concert, what they were experiencing was “a giant karaoke.”

Ednita Nazario’s big night in Santo Domingo continued full of surprises and emotions before an euphoric audience that maintained the energy from the beginning. One of the most intense moments occurred during the interpretation of the legendary song “Quiero que me hagas el amor”, part of her album “Pasiones” released in (1994). This song, considered an icon of her career, is a must-have in her concerts, as it would be unthinkable for the audience to miss hearing it. On stage, Ednita was accompanied by one of her dancers, who contributed sensuality and drama to the choreography. At this moment, other songs from his repertoire were added, such as “Tres deseos”, “Como antes”, “La fuerza de un te quiero”, “Más grande que grande”, “A que pides más”, and “No me mires así” (feat. Frank Ceara) a song that led to the arrival of his great guest of the night. Dominican singer and songwriter Frank Ceara was Ednita Nazario’s special guest in her performance, where they both performed as a duo “No Me Mires Así”, a song that has captivated their followers. The chemistry between both artists became evident, and at the end they sealed the performance with a passionate kiss that surprised and excited the audience.

During the presentation, Ednita, with her characteristic sense of humor, joked with the men in the audience, assuring them that although her lyrics may seem strong, she has nothing against them, which provoked laughter from everyone present. She also expressed her love for Dominican gastronomy, especially for mangu, stating that it should be enjoyed not only as breakfast, but at any time of the day. The artist also highlighted the presence of important friends and personalities from national public life, to whom she dedicated emotional words. Among them, she mentioned communicators Zoila Luna, Jatnna Tavárez and Tania Báez, whom she described as great friends and legends of communication in the country; as well as communicator José Ángel Morvan, stylist Reading Pantaleon, Douglas Bernard and singer Techy Fatule, with whom she shared anecdotes from before the also artist dreamed of going on stage. The night closed with the interpretations of “Raining flowers” and “I will learn”, the latter being the soundtrack to the end of a memorable presentation. Ednita left the Dominican public completely satisfied by the high level of the show, accompanied by a band made up of musicians, two backing vocalists and two dancers, who contributed dynamism and scenic force to the masterful staging.
