Santo Domingo, RD.– The communicator Moisés Salce achieved an important legal victory after the Civil Court declared itself incompetent to hear the lawsuit filed against him by fellow communicator Luinny Corporán, ordering that the case be heard in the labor jurisdiction.

The court’s decision confirms the position of Salce’s defense, which from the beginning argued that the nature of the relationship between the two was strictly labor, not civil.

According to official sources, during the process it came to light that Luinny Corporán never registered Moisés Salce in the Social Security Treasury (TSS) while he worked for his platform, which could lead to tax and criminal consequences for Corporán, in accordance with the provisions of current labor laws. Salce’s lawyer, Manuel Alejandro Bordas Nina, pointed out that this case highlights a common practice in the country: “Many entrepreneurs and lawyers draft contracts incorrectly, and that ends up bringing severe sanctions”, he affirmed. With the ruling, the process will now continue in the labor jurisdiction, where the responsibilities and legal status of the relationship between both communicators will be determined.
