Oween Copeer becomes the youngest actor to win an Emmy for ‘Adolescence’
Los Angeles.- British actor Owen Cooper became the youngest actor to receive an Emmy Award this Sunday, winning the award for best supporting actor for the psychological drama ‘Adolescence’.
At 15 years old, the actor who plays Jamie Miller, a 13-year-old accused of murdering a classmate, broke the record previously held by Scott Jacoby, who was 16 when he won the Emmy in the category of best supporting actor in a drama series for ‘The Certain Summer’ in 1973.
The Netflix miniseries aims to become one of the most awarded of the 77th edition of these awards, which are taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
