A tourist in Dagestan was allegedly pushed off a zipline over the Sulak Canyon after she changed her mind and refused to make the jump, according to reports circulating about the incident.
The woman reportedly hesitated before the descent and told the instructors she did not want to continue. An employee allegedly struggled with her before striking her on the legs and pushing her off the platform.
Video of the incident reportedly shows the tourist appearing terrified during the descent, while the instructors later laughed and celebrated.
The incident is reportedly the second known case at the same location in which a tourist was allegedly pushed onto the zipline without consent. In a previous case, another woman reportedly had no time to prepare before being pushed and was later diagnosed with a spinal cord contusion. She subsequently experienced episodes of paralysis.
The reported incidents have raised concerns about safety procedures and the treatment of visitors at the attraction.
