When questioned about how the family found out about the disappearance and subsequently learned what happened, Teolinda explained that her relatives went out to look for her upon noticing she was not there and later received information about the circumstances of the discovery.
“Her relatives went out to look for her when they realized she wasn’t there. They say it was a gunshot wound that killed her, but we couldn’t see her because they kept her covered. We didn’t go to the funeral home because it wasn’t possible; she was in a very delicate state”.
Teolinda added that the family decided to keep the funeral services in strict privacy and requested that the burial be carried out in an intimate manner.
Regarding the case, the authorities reported the arrest of José Luis Fabián Rodríguez, Loyca’s former romantic partner, who remains under investigation.
