The Fantastic Four manages to raise $118 million in its first weekend

The Fantastic Four “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” managed to gross 118 million dollars in its first weekend in theaters in North America. The film, released in 4,125 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, also performed excellently internationally with another 100 million in 52 territories, reaching an impressive global total of 218 million dollars.

Under the production of Kevin Feige and Walt Disney Co., this new version of the superhuman quartet is betting on a retro-futuristic setting of the 60s, directly inspired by the original Marvel comics. The cast is made up of Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm), who embody the family transformed by cosmic rays after a space mission.
