Santo Domingo.- The producer and businessman Santiago Matías issued a public statement through his YouTube channel to clarify his position regarding two legal proceedings in which he has been mentioned: the case with Isaura Taveras and the recent lawsuit filed by the comedian and actor Manolo Ozuna.

Matías reiterated his absolute respect for due judicial process and his rejection of turning legal issues into media spectacles. “Judicial matters are handled in the courts, not in the media,” he stated.

About the Isaura Taveras case

Matías (Alofoke) began his statements referring to the legal process with Isaura Taveras. He explained that, although he offered a public apology voluntarily at the time —against the advice of his lawyers—, the lawsuit was maintained by Taveras. “The Public Ministry dismissed the case in my favor, a decision that was later confirmed by the court, despite the opposition of Mrs. Taveras,” explained Matías. He added that, currently, the plaintiff has appealed that decision and a final ruling is pending. The producer highlighted that, despite having been favored in two judicial instances, he never used the issue to generate content or public statements, as a sign of respect for the judicial system.

Manolo Ozuna’s Case

Regarding the recent lawsuit filed by Manolo Ozuna, Matías informed that he was notified a week ago and that, although he could not attend the first hearing for personal reasons, he will attend the next hearing along with his legal team on July 10th. “I am open to a conciliation if Mr. Ozuna wishes. Otherwise, I will exercise my defense according to what the law establishes,” assured the communicator. Matías lamented that, after the first hearing, the lawsuit was leaked to the media and a public campaign against him was initiated. “Turning a legal process into a media circus does not contribute to justice or the country. This is not a topic for likes or visits,” he pointed out.

Reaction to Manolo Ozuna’s statements

Alofoke also referred to previous statements by Ozuna, in which he stated that “two rich people” told him “vamos con tó” in relation to an alleged campaign against him. Matías questioned these statements, indicating that this type of expression suggests a background of persecution orchestrated by economic and personal interests. “For years I have remained silent in the face of public provocations and offensive comments, even when I have been called ‘Satan’ or my integrity as a businessman has been questioned. Today I decide to speak not to attack, but to make my position clear to those who trust in my work and in the Alofoke platform,” he concluded.
