Santiago Matías stops disrespectful attitudes towards Diana Laiz and Joseimar Muñoz on Planeta Alofoke

Businessman Santiago Matías, general producer of the reality show Planeta Alofoke, spoke out on the night of this Tuesday in defense of beauty queen and singer Diana Laiz and content creator Joseimar Muñoz, the most recent members of the project, after what he considered inappropriate treatment by some colleagues.

During his intervention in “primetime,” Matías called for attention, especially to the men in the program, for addressing both participants disrespectfully. “Ok, a joke, ‘wash your feet,’ but I am very ashamed of many of the men here. One thing is interaction, a joke, but I see a marked pattern. I will not say names, but let it be in each one and in their conscience that they have taken it out on Diana,” he expressed.

The producer emphasized that the jokes have crossed the limits of entertainment. “It’s one thing to say ‘wash your feet,’ but I have videos there of him touching a woman’s feet with six men against her. And those are the most gentlemanly, the ones who most embrace the common causes of women, and he has given it to the six for Diana,” he added, pointing out what he called repetitive behavior.

Matías indicated that he understands Diana’s sense of humor and her adaptation process to the reality format; however, he maintained that the situation has gotten out of hand. In that sense, he affirmed that, in good Dominican, some participants “are getting carried away”, assuring that what was perceived was a kind of cornering towards the contestant.

Following her statements, Nacho Estrella, one of those who formed part of the group that directed comments towards Diana, responded that his actions are part of a “revenge” within the dynamics of the program. According to his explanation, in previous days Diana had caused annoyance by making noise with two pans to wake up her companions, so, upon identifying a “weakness” like her feet, he decided to use it as part of his game.

In other news, Matías also defended Joseimar after he was the target of an insult within the reality show. Without mentioning names at first, he questioned the attitude of some participants and wondered if there are men in the program who do not tolerate women. Subsequently, Michael Flores wanted to question his colleague, and there the producer clarified that it was Jiménez who called the content creator “trash”, leaving those who were trying to justify what happened without arguments.
