Milagros Consuelo de la Altagracia Germán Olalla, best known as Milagros Germán or simply “La Diva”, is a renowned presenter, producer, actress, and public figure from the Dominican Republic.
Germán was born on December 29, 1958 and since his beginnings in beauty pageants in the 80s, he has been an icon on television and national communication, with more than three decades of outstanding career.
Beginnings of Milagros Germán
Milagros Germán rose to fame after obtaining the title of Miss Dominican Republic 1980, which allowed her to represent the country in the Miss Universe 1980 pageant. Although she did not win the international crown, her charisma and beauty opened doors for her in international contests such as Reina Internacional del Café in Colombia and Miss Latin America in Mexico.
Training and first artistic steps
About to graduate in architecture, Milagros decided not to present her thesis because she discovered that her true passion was in art and communication. In Mexico, she studied dramatic art, a training that would strengthen her skills as an actress, communicator, and creator of television content.
Career in television
He debuted on television in 1991 with the program “Con los Ojos Abiertos”, alongside Mariasela Álvarez. From then on, his career took off with projects such as:

Subsequently, she was appointed Minister of Culture of the Dominican Republic on October 10, 2021, by presidential decree 544-21, where she remained until January 2025.
Participation in Dominicana’s Got Talent
In 2019, she was part of the judging panel for the first season of Dominicana’s Got Talent, along with Nashla Bogaert, Raymond Pozo, and Waddys Jáquez. Her firm but empathetic character made her stand out among the judges. She was remembered for giving her Golden Buzzer to the dancer Yaretzi Comas.
Personal life
Milagros was married to the politician Hatuey De Camps, with whom she had three children: Milagros Marina, Andrea Salomé and Álvaro Hatuey. The couple divorced in 1990. Throughout her life, she has been a reference of strength, especially in overcoming breast cancer, an experience that has made her an activist for the prevention and support of people with this disease.
