Authorities in El Salvador say they intercepted Honduran national Edison Manuel Rodríguez Gómez near Los Cusucos, in La Unión, while he was allegedly attempting to cross the border illegally.
Officials said Rodríguez Gómez was trying to leave the country without being detected and evade border controls, but authorities intercepted him before he could get out.
