Norris, 25, achieved his seventh victory in F1 – the third of the year – by winning ahead of his teammate, the Australian Oscar Piastri – who maintained the lead in the World Championship – and the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), who finished third. Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Williams) was unable to compete in the race, as his FW47 literally got stuck on the grid – before smoking and being withdrawn -, a reason that delayed the start of a test that his compatriot, the double world champion from Asturias, Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) finished seventh.
