SANTIAGO, RD.– The Águilas Cibaeñas continue their structuring process for the upcoming season of the Dominican Baseball League, after announcing the hiring of relievers Jonathan Aro and Diógenes Almengó.

The Cibao organization is betting on reinforcing the depth of its bullpen with experienced and proven arms in Dominican winter baseball, in a strategy focused on raising the consistency of the pitching staff.
Ring, synonym of stability
Aro arrives at the yellow team as a reliable piece for the intermediate relief, standing out for his control and ability to execute quality pitches in pressure situations.
With 11 seasons in the league, most with the
Tigres del Licey, he has accumulated 216 appearances and 202.1 innings pitched, with a solid 3.20 ERA. In addition, he limits the opposition to a .234 average and has a 1.23 WHIP, numbers that support his consistency on the mound.
Almengó brings power
For his part, Almengó adds speed and versatility to the relief staff. His repertoire, headed by a powerful fastball, makes him a key option for facing high-demand scenarios, especially in the final innings.
The right-hander has seven seasons of experience in the league, with stints with the
Leones del Escogido,
Estrellas Orientales and
Toros del Este. In that time, he has 174 games and 156.2 innings pitched, with an ERA of 4.14 and an average of 7.70 strikeouts per nine innings.
