San Francisco de Macorís. — The Gigantes del Cibao officially announced the start of their preseason training for next Monday, September 22, with a view to their participation in the Dominican Professional Baseball Tournament 2025-2026, organized by the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

The first sessions will be aimed at pitchers and catchers, who must report from Monday 22nd, while the rest of the position players will officially join on Friday, September 26th.
The training sessions will be held at the Julián Javier Stadium, the team’s official headquarters in San Francisco de Macorís. The information was provided by Lic. Alfredo Acebal Rizek, Giants’ operations president, who highlighted that all reserve players are summoned, as well as the players who will be selected in the rookie draft organized by LIDOM.
The leader José Leger will be in charge of the practices from day one, accompanied by his staff of coaches, who will work on the preparation of the team with a view to a competitive and successful season.
“The operations department has been working intensely on forming a solid and balanced team. We are confident that we will have a group of high-level players from the start of training,” said Acebal Rizek.
