San Cristóbal. – The Basketball Association of San Cristóbal (ABASANCRIS) held the official presentation gala of the Superior Basketball Tournament of that province this Monday, November 17, which this year will have as a special incentive the Banreservas Cup, in support of the development of local sports.

The protocol act, held in a renowned event center in the city, brought together important figures from the sports and political fields, highlighting the presence of provincial senator Gustavo Lara, the governor of San Cristóbal Pura Casilla, the president of the Dominican Basketball Federation (FEDOMBAL), Rafael Uribe, and the president of ABASANCRIS Eddy Montas, who agreed on the importance of this tournament as a platform for the development of young talent and as a driver of community integration. During the gala, the participating teams, uniforms, and the structure of the championship were officially presented, whose inauguration is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19. The event was enlivened with cultural performances, historical audiovisuals of the tournament, and words of motivation to the athletes. One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the announcement of the return of the Ciro Pérez Club, the most winning team in the history of superior basketball in San Cristóbal. The traditional team returns to the competition after the sanction against the franchise was lifted, which generates high expectations among the fans and promises to revive one of the most vibrant rivalries of the tournament.
