SANTO DOMINGO.– Karl-Anthony Towns once again made a difference in the paint and led the New York Knicks’ wide victory 138-89 over the Philadelphia 76ers, in a game that showed the superiority of the New York team at both ends of the court.

The Dominican scored 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in just 26 minutes of action, being a key piece in the dominance that the Knicks established from the first quarter. Towns shot 8 of 13 from the field, including a three-pointer, and also added a block and a steal on defense.
The offensive contribution was collective. José Alvarado, recently integrated into the team, led the scoring with 26 points coming off the bench. Mikal Bridges added 22 units and Mohamed Diawara finished with 14. Jalen Brunson, a usual offensive reference, had a discreet night with eight points in 30 minutes.
New York shone for its ball circulation, accumulating 41 assists, and showed high effectiveness by shooting for 53% in field goals and 45% from the three-point line.
On the Philadelphia side, Tyrese Maxey was the most productive with 32 points, although his performance was insufficient against the rival’s defensive intensity. The 76ers barely made 38% of their shots and a low 19% from long distance. The team also felt the absence of Joel Embiid, who did not see action due to rest for his knee.
In the battle for rebounds, the Knicks dominated 51-38, with Towns commanding that aspect of the game.
The victory consolidates New York’s good form, which showed depth, offensive efficiency, and defensive firmness in one of its most complete performances of the season.
