Aitana, who finished training this Sunday with the Spanish national team at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas injured after a bad landing in a fortuitous action, will be operated on by Dr. Antoni Dalmau at the Hospital de Barcelona, under the supervision of the Medical Services of the Barcelona entity. The player from Sant Pere de Ribes has been ruled out of the Spanish national team’s training camp, which will face Germany this Tuesday in the second leg of the Nations League final at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. “She wanted to stay, but we told her to return to Barcelona for new tests with the club. We prioritize the health of the footballer,” said Spain’s coach, Sonia Bermúdez, in a press conference.

Medical Tests

The medical tests Bonmatí underwent this Monday in the Catalan capital have confirmed the diagnosis of the RFEF medical services and determined that he will finally have to go through the operating room. After the intervention, Barça will provide a new medical report but, in any case, the injury will require several months of recovery. The club also reported that forward Kika Nazareth, who suffered a sprain of the internal lateral ligament of the left ankle in last Friday’s Portugal-Netherlands friendly, will be out of action for about three weeks. The losses of Aitana Bonmatí and Kika Nazareth are added to those of midfielder Patri Guijarro, who is recovering from a stress fracture in the scaphoid of her right foot, and forward Salma Paralluelo, who injured the collateral ligament of her left knee in the previous international window, also with the Spanish national team.
