Brandon Graham comes out of retirement and returns to the champion Eagles

Philadelphia. – Veteran defensive end Brandon Graham announced his return to the NFL to rejoin the Philadelphia Eagles, current Super Bowl champions, after having declared his retirement last March.

The 37-year-old player announced the news through his podcast Unblocked, where he expressed his enthusiasm to return to the field.

“I’m back, honey. I doubted and really didn’t want to retire. I trust the team, I know they have everything, but I hope to add a little more value,” Graham stated.

The franchise confirmed the return of the historic defender with a message on social media:

“BG is out of retirement! We have reached an agreement with defensive end Brandon Graham. Let season 16 begin!”

Graham, considered a legend in Philadelphia, is the only player on the current roster who was part of the Super Bowl LII and LIX titles. In 15 seasons with the Eagles, he accumulated 487 tackles, 76.5 quarterback sacks, 22 forced fumbles and seven recoveries, as well as a defensive touchdown. One of the most memorable moments of his career was the capture on Tom Brady in the final minutes of Super Bowl LII, a key play to seal the first championship in the history of the franchise. The return of the experienced defensive player comes a few days after Za’Darius Smith’s retirement, which reinforces the team’s defensive line for the rest of the 2025 season.
