According to Sky News, the charges of rape and sexual assault, filed by three women, refer to events that occurred between 2021 and 2022. Jaswant Narwal, from the prosecution, stated that the charge against Partey has been authorized after a “careful investigation of the evidence gathered.” «Our officers have worked with the Metropolitan Police agents who have carried out the investigation to review the evidence and take the relevant measures. We remind everyone that while criminal proceedings are active, the accused has the right to a fair trial. We know that this case will have significant public interest, but it is absolutely vital that there is no information or comments that could prejudice these proceedings», he added.

Partey arrived at Arsenal in 2020

Partey, 32, arrived at Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid for 50 million euros and has been a regular starter in the team. The investigation has been carried out over the last two and a half years and the accusation was made public three days after Partey ended his contractual relationship with Arsenal on July 1st. The ‘Gunner’ club was in talks with the African player for a possible renewal, but they did not reach an agreement.
