Paris (EFE).- PSG’s Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi appeared this Friday before the Versailles court, on the outskirts of Paris, to request the dismissal of the rape accusation against him since 2023, for which he provided a letter signed by Kylian Mbappé in favor of the defense of his former teammate.
The now Real Madrid player specifies in that letter his initial testimony, which served the investigator to order last February the sending of Hakimi before a court to be tried for rape, a crime for which he is accused by a young woman.
Eight days before the Champions League final that PSG will play against Arsenal, in which Hakimi is expected to start despite coming off an injury, the Moroccan appeared before the court against which he has appealed the decision to send him to trial.

The decision on that resource will be announced on June 19, when Hakimi meets Morocco in the middle of the United States, Mexico, and Canada World Cup.
At the end of the hearing, the defender’s lawyer, Fanny Colin, confirmed that they have presented new elements to request dismissal.
Sources close to the case indicated that, in particular, it is Mbappé’s letter, in which he qualifies the testimony he gave to the investigators on April 14, 2023.
Then, the forward, a personal friend of Hakimi, assured that the Moroccan had confessed to him that he had kissed the young woman and had touched her “intimate parts”, without having felt any rejection from her at any time.
Those words appear in the indictment of the player as one more element, since the investigating magistrate considered that they confirmed the testimony of the complainant and denied that of Hakimi.
In his writing, Mbappé clarifies that he was referring to “intimate parts”, and not “her intimate parts”, without specifying whether they were sexual organs.
The nuance of Mbappé that doesn’t convince the lawyer
A nuance that has not convinced the complainant’s lawyer, Rachel-Flore Pardo, who doubts that a person can use the expression “intimate parts” without it having a sexual background. In statements to the press, the lawyer was surprised by the nuance provided by Mbappé and recalled that in his interrogation three years ago he expressed “spontaneously” that Hakimi had told him that he had caressed his “intimate parts”. Furthermore, Pardo criticized the benevolence with which Hakimi is being treated, in contrast to the harshness used with representatives of the entertainment world, as is now happening in France with the singer and actor Patrick Bruel, who is being asked to cancel all his concerts after being accused of rape.“Football players enjoy a certain immunity. It’s an essentially masculine world, and the fight against sexual violence hasn’t started yet. But it will,” said the lawyer, who recalled that three magistrates have considered that there are elements for Hakimi to sit in the dock.
The complainant went on February 25, 2023, to Boulogne-Billancourt, on the outskirts of Paris, to Hakimi’s home, with whom she had been in contact through social media for more than a month.
