Mexico (EFE).- The Spanish central defender of the Mexican Monterrey, Sergio Ramos, released this Sunday the song ‘Cibeles’, in reggaeton rhythm, in which he claims Real Madrid for his departure from the club in 2021.

“A match lasts 90 minutes and I gave you 93 more than I should have. I never got tired of trying, this story was a legend. I prefer to die standing up than to live ‘on my knees’… I hope you do well, even though I feel bad without you. Luckily I left, because you didn’t treat me the same. You loved me and I loved you, but someone always gives more,” sings the defender. Sergio Ramos made the announcement through a video he posted on his Instagram and YouTube accounts. In the piece, Ramos appears in a desolate Plaza de Cibeles, where the fountain is located, where Madrid celebrates all its sporting glories. The video continues with a barrage of images of historical moments experienced by the defender with Real Madrid, such as the goal he scored against Atlético de Madrid in the 93rd minute of the 2014 Champions League final, which meant the tie and opened the way to the title. The end shows the stone figure of Cibeles crumbling, while he sings. “You forgot about me, you left me unable to decide, that’s what hurts me the most. And although everything was like that, I would return ‘encantao’, once and up to a thousand times, you ‘know’ Cibeles.” Sergio Ramos is a star player for Monterrey, along with his compatriot Sergio Canales, and one of the main figures in Mexican soccer.
