Carolina Herrera returns to New York Fashion Week at 87

Carolina Herrera returned to the spotlight at 87, making a notable appearance at New York Fashion Week and drawing attention from the front row during the presentation of her brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection.

The Venezuelan-born designer had maintained a low public profile for more than a year following the death of her husband, Reinaldo Herrera, in 2025. Her appearance at the fashion show marked one of her most visible returns to the public eye during that period.

Although Herrera stepped away from the brand’s creative direction in 2018, when Wes Gordon assumed the role, she remains an important figure within the fashion house and continues to attend key events.

For her return to New York Fashion Week, Herrera chose one of the signature elements of her style: the white shirt. This time, she wore a version featuring embroidered embellishments and her characteristic wide collar.

She paired the shirt with pleated flare trousers and a green sash tied in a bow, adding a touch of color to the look. Black pumps with buckle details and a black feathered clutch completed the outfit.

The collection presented by Carolina Herrera for Spring/Summer 2027 also featured models including Karlie Kloss, while celebrities such as Pamela Anderson and Camila Mendes attended the show.

But it was Herrera herself who became one of the most photographed figures of the event, once again placing her distinctive approach to fashion at the center of attention.
