Santo Domingo. – Edgar Augusto Feliz Méndez has been appointed by the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, as the director of the Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Food, by merging the Economic Dining Rooms of the State and the Social Assistance Plan.
Meanwhile, Edgar Félix remained as director of the Economic Dining Halls, since the beginning of Luis Abinader’s government in August 2020.
It should be noted that Yadira Altagracia Henríquez Núñez was in the Social Assistance Plan.
The decree states that until the Directorate of Social Assistance and Community Food is incorporated into the subsystems of the Integrated Financial Administration System of the State (SIAFE), the appointed director is provisionally authorized to coordinate the operational management of the executing units corresponding to the entities dissolved by this decree, exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the continuity of services. This coordination will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 423-06, Law No. 5-07, the Financial Management Information System (SIGEF) and other applicable budgetary regulations.
