Hospital Mario Tolentino Dipp and SDN City Hall sign strategic alliance for preventive health

Santo Domingo.– The General and Specialties Hospital Doctor Mario Tolentino Dipp and the municipal Mayor’s Office have formalized a strategic alliance aimed at transforming and decentralizing access to specialized medicine throughout the demarcation. The agreement, signed this Friday at the hospital’s facilities by its general director, Dr. Miguel Ángel Guzmán, and Mayor Betty Gerónimo, establishes a framework for joint action to provide high-quality medical services, health education, and social assistance to the most vulnerable sectors. Doctor Miguel Ángel Guzmán began the interventions stating that this union of wills is the most effective way to optimize the State’s resources. The doctor emphasized that the hospital will not limit itself to waiting for patients in its facilities, but will go out to meet them: “Today we signed an inter-institutional agreement because we are committed to providing health services in close accompaniment with our mayor.”

Through this effort, we will bring medical, dental, ophthalmological, family and internal medicine operations; likewise, we will remain vigilant and waiting to attend to all types of emergencies for the benefit of our municipality. For her part, Mayor Betty Gerónimo highlighted that her administration will serve as a facilitating channel so that quality health is a palpable reality, emphasizing the hospital’s willingness to find effective solutions: “Since Dr. Guzmán arrived in our municipality, he made a genuine commitment to health; everyone who needs help finds the doors open, the doctor provides solutions and today we reaffirm that commitment.” “Health doesn’t start in hospitals, but in prevention; that’s why we will work in the neighborhoods so that the residents receive this direct help from the Mario Tolentino Dipp. This great agreement will continue to open more doors for everyone”, Gerónimo highlighted.
