González Durán highlighted the effort of the editorial and technical team that worked on these works, which he called “of great value”, emphasizing the selection, layout, and illustrations process: “we have the work of selecting Dominican children’s stories, by the writer Tulio Cordero, and illustrated by the artist José Segura, who, in addition to being an illustrator, is the coordinator of the Artistic Education area of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic, MINERD”.“ISFODOSU, as an institution specialized in teacher training, dedicates resources, time, and effort to edit valuable publications for Dominican students and the general public,” said the rector.
“This collection that we present today, at this XXVII International Book Fair, is composed of a total of 10 works by authors whom we have called the pioneers, because they were among the first Dominican authors to publish children’s stories in our literature,” said the rector.

On his side, the writer and poet, theologian and university professor, Tulio Cordero, defined this compilation as “the odyssey of spirit”, inviting families to join this wonderful adventure of reading and knowledge. Cordero considered the language enrichment objective pursued by these works circulated by ISFODOSU and indicated that “although they are stories written for boys and girls, sometimes the language will be rather cultured and elevated; or words in disuse in our daily language will appear,” Cordero specified.
