“La Familia Espejo” addresses everyday issues of Dominicans, highlights producer

Santo Domingo.- The producer of “La Familia Espejo”, Hugo Devana highlighted that the series addresses everyday situations faced by Dominicans and presents possible alternatives to deal with these issues.
Devana explained that the production also addresses sensitive topics such as drug use and trafficking, abuse, and other social situations, through stories that show how their protagonists face and overcome different circumstances.
On Wednesday, September 30, the public was able to enjoy an exclusive look at this innovative dissemination strategy for the series created by Iván Ruiz for RTVD Studios, directed by Tito Rodríguez.

The initiative for it to be via streaming first seeks to bring the production even closer to the Dominican public, adapting to the new consumption habits of viewers and digital users.
With this commitment, RTVD Studios transforms the conventional distribution model, breaking the traditional molds of local entertainment and positioning the Dominican Republic at the forefront of international media convergence.
Starting from 7:20 PM on Wednesday, September 30th, until midnight on Wednesday, users were able to access the first episode of the second season via a QR code, enabled to be scanned from anywhere in the world.

Prior to its broadcast on the RTVD YouTube channel, a presentation event was held on Wednesday at the History and Geography Museum Hall within the framework of the International Book Fair, with the presence of the protagonists and the production team of “La Familia Espejo”.
The broadcast television premiere on RTVD is scheduled for Monday, October 5th, at 10:00 p.m.
The streaming initiative allows you to enjoy the first episode in advance and discover the new conflicts that will shape the family’s path before its television premiere.
The live meeting at the Museum of History and Geography featured the presence of director Tito Rodríguez and producer Hugo Devana, who are part of the production.

More secrets and new characters
In this season, Berto and Alicia, played by Johnnié Mercedes and Clara Luz Lozano, will have to deal with financial problems, family secrets, wounds from the past, and decisions that will put pressure on their marriage.
Ramón, Berto’s brother, played by Aquiles Correa, arrives in the story, a character whose appearance connects him to situations involving gangs, the mafia, and other conflicts that threaten to involve the family.
Also joining are Cleo, Alicia’s niece, who arrives with a difficult past, as well as new characters played by Laila Taveras, Kris Viñas, Miguel Alcántara, and Pachi Méndez. And psychologist Mario Minaya, who analyzes the marital case in the context of the conflict.
The cast also features Akuharella Mercedes as Imar; Isaac Lozano in the role of Ernesto; Gaia Mercedes as Oli, and Rria Mercedes as Amanda. The production thus maintains its particular bond between fiction and family, with the participation of members of the Mercedes family in the story.
With this second season, “La Familia Espejo” resumes the stories of a household where secrets, bonds, problems, and unexpected decisions meet once again, now with new characters arriving to change the course of the family.
