19-year-old kills another 17-year-old during a fight over an electronic cigarette in Los Alcarrizos

Los Alcarrizos,. – The National Police Regional Directorate reported the arrest of a 19-year-old accused of taking the life of another 17-year-old during a dispute over an electronic cigarette in the Guajimía II sector, of the municipality of Los Alcarrizos. The victim was identified as Josué Martínez Reinoso, who died at the municipal hospital of Engombe due to a wound to the left hemithorax. The alleged aggressor is Rancel Mata Encarnación, arrested by the authorities shortly after the incident.

According to the version of a witness, identified as Andry Esmerlin Maldonado, the fight began when Martinez snatched the electronic cigarette from Rancel and physically assaulted him. In the midst of the confrontation, the 19-year-old took out a knife and stabbed him. Local residents immediately took the injured person to the health center, but he died while receiving medical attention. The Police reported that the case was made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding purposes.
