Abinader arrives at the UN to participate in debates of the 80th session of the General Assembly

New York. – The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, arrived this Tuesday at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) to participate in the beginning of the debates of the 80th session of the General Assembly. In the framework of his agenda, the president will hold bilateral meetings with His Majesty Abdallah II bin Al-Hussein, King of Jordan, and with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Also, Abinader will meet with executives from the Council of the Americas, with Andrés Gluski, CEO of AES Global Energy, and will participate in a forum organized by the Atlantic Council with business leaders and international investors. Later, the Dominican head of state will attend the reception offered by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to the heads of state and government present at the Assembly, and will close his day with a dinner with Ibero-American businessmen organized by the Consejo Empresarial Alianza por Iberoamérica (CEAPI) and the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom.
