Abinader declares official mourning for the death of Rafael Antonio “Fello” Suberví Bonilla

Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader, through Decree No. 387-25, declared for this Wednesday 16 of July official mourning for the death of Rafael Antonio “Fello” Suberví Bonilla.

Through decree 387-25, the Ministry of Defense was instructed to render military honors to this prominent Dominican citizen.

The National Flag shall fly at half-mast on the designated day in military installations and public buildings throughout the country.

About Rafael (Fello) Suberví Bonilla

Bonilla held important public positions, including Secretary of Tourism on two occasions, (1982-1986), in the Government of Salvador Jorge Blanco, and from 2001 to 2004, under the mandate of Hipólito Mejía. He was also mayor of the National District in two periods, from 1986 to 1990 and from 1994 to 1998.
