Santo Domingo. – Starting this Monday, drivers who violate the prohibition of left turns on John F. Kennedy Avenue will begin to be fined, after the socialization process of a part of Phase IV of the Comprehensive Traffic Management Strategy “RD Se Mueve” concluded. The measure is part of a phased plan that has already intervened in 13 intersections on strategic avenues such as Lope de Vega, Tiradentes, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, and Máximo Gómez. According to the authorities, improvements of over 30% in travel times have been recorded in these areas, demonstrating the positive impact of the traffic reorganization. With this new stage at John F. Kennedy, the authorities seek to consolidate the advances of the previous phases and extend the benefits of a more agile and safe transit for users.
