Government delivers more than RD$85 million for construction of works in Azua

Azua.- With the aim of contributing to the development of the municipality and by instructions of President Luis Abinader, the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, Andrés Bautista, delivered this Friday two certifications of funds to the City Council of the municipality of Las Charcas, Azua province, one for an amount of RD$54,043,248 for the construction of sidewalks and curbs and another for RD$33,755,070 destined for the construction of a covered multi-use court in the Hatillo section.

During an event held at the Las Charcas city hall, Bautista handed over the funds to the city council, represented by its mayor Brennis Fontanez Martínez, and stated that these contributions are part of President Abinader’s government’s commitment to the municipality.

On his part, Mayor Brennis Fontanez Martinez thanked the President for his continued support, channeled through the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, highlighting the positive impact that these works will have on the quality of life of the municipal residents. Fontanez highlighted the works that have already been carried out thanks to the support of President Abinader, including: sidewalks, curbs and asphalting of 13 kilometers in Pueblo Nuevo, construction of the Navy barracks in Playa Caracoles, aqueduct in Cañada Cimarrona and barracks for the National Police in Las Charcas, among others. Present were the provincial governor, María Minerva Navarro; Senator Lía Díaz; Manuela Ortiz, mayor of Estebania; Víctor Figuereo, mayor of Pueblo Viejo, as well as representatives of the Council of Aldermen and civil society.
