Bonao. – The Government of Japan delivered three compacting trucks to the Bonao Municipal Council, with the aim of reinforcing the solid waste collection service and improving cleaning conditions in different sectors of the municipality.
The announcement was made by Mayor Eberto Núñez, accompanied by the councilors of the Capitular Hall, who highlighted the importance of this donation for the efficiency of municipal services. According to Núñez, the new vehicles have a load capacity of 2.5 tons, which will optimize garbage collection in areas with difficult access, such as Los Solares, David de Vargas street and the María Auxiliadora neighborhood, among other communities where larger trucks face limitations.
The mayor explained that the management to achieve the delivery was channeled directly with the Embassy of Japan in the Dominican Republic, an institution that facilitated the process until the donation was finalized. “This contribution is an important step to continue strengthening municipal management and improving the quality of life of our people,” said Núñez.
Finally, the mayor thanked the Government of Japan for the cooperation and solidarity expressed with the municipality of Bonao, highlighting that international collaboration is key to continue promoting local development.
