Santo Domingo.- The Public Ministry requested pretrial detention for two women and one man, all three of Colombian nationality, accused of being part of a network that sedated men to steal their money, jewelry, electronic devices, and bank cards.
The defendants are Diego Armando González, also identified as Jain Zhou Xiao; Natali Valera Castillo González, alias Andrea or Tati; and Laura Valentina Villegas, alias Tatiana, the Public Prosecutor’s Office reported this Tuesday in a statement.

According to the investigation, the two women would contact their victims in entertainment venues and subsequently accompany them to apartments or hotels, where they allegedly administered sedative substances that left them in a state of helplessness, which they then took advantage of to strip them of their belongings.
The investigated events occurred between August 30 and September 6 in different sectors of the National District, according to the file.

Complaints from several victims allowed the investigation to begin, which included tracking purchases made with allegedly stolen bank cards.
Security cameras also captured the two women making purchases at shopping malls together with González, according to the request for a coercive measure.
The three were arrested during a raid carried out on September 11 at an apartment in the Residencial Arrecifes del Sol, in East Santo Domingo.

At the scene, cell phones, computers, tablets, watches, glasses, clothing, cash, bank cards, documents, invoices, and purchase receipts were seized, in addition to a dropper containing an unknown liquid.
Among the evidence is documentation that, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, made it possible to establish that one of the stolen cards was used to purchase five iPhone 17 Pro Max phones for more than 623,000 pesos, in addition to high-value garments.
