National Police arrests man with alleged marijuana and a scale in Moca

Espaillat.- The National Police reported that agents of the Regional Investigation Sub-Directorate (Dicrim) arrested a man who was found with alleged controlled substances, a scale, and cash, during an intervention carried out in this municipality. The detainee was identified as Ismael Antonio Disla Vásquez, who, according to the police report, tried to flee upon noticing the presence of the agents, throwing a wallet onto the pavement. He was apprehended approximately 15 meters from the scene.

Upon searching the wallet, the authorities seized two portions of a vegetable, presumably marijuana, weighing approximately 51.9 grams, wrapped in plastic bags. A black digital scale, Tanita brand, was also seized, in addition to RD$510 in cash. The detainee and the seized items will be placed at the disposal of the Department of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) for the corresponding legal purposes.
