National Police clarifies: there was no arrest; they only provided family and medical assistance to Wander Franco in Baní

Writing.- The National Police (PN) reports that in the early hours of this Tuesday, September 9, 2025, members of the institution provided assistance in Baní, Peravia, to the relatives of Major League baseball player Wander Franco, who requested support in a delicate moment related to the mental health of the young athlete. At no time was there an arrest or police action of a repressive nature. On the contrary, our agents limited themselves to providing assistance to his father, Wander Franco Sr., and other family members, in coordination with a medical team that accompanied the situation.

Thanks to the rapid joint intervention, the baseball player was able to receive timely professional attention and was transferred to a private health center in Santo Domingo, where he is receiving the corresponding care.
