National Police rescues two minors after disappearance report in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo.- The National Police, through the Department of Investigations of Trafficking in Persons, rescued two adolescents aged 13 and 15, following a disappearance report filed in the National District. The alert was filed by the grandmother of the 13-year-old, who reported that both left the house on February 16 and did not return that night. Subsequently, the 15-year-old teenager was located on Zoológico Avenue in a state of intoxication, while the 13-year-old remained missing.

The investigations allowed to locate and interview both minors, who would have agreed to meet with an adult man who offered them money in exchange for intimacy, an encounter that did not materialize. Then they moved to a shopping center and later to the Cristo Rey sector, where an individual would have provided them with accommodation and supplied illicit substances.

Both were referred to the Unit for the Attention of Victims of Gender Violence, Intrafamily Violence and Sexual Offenses, where they receive medical, psychological evaluation and legal support. Authorities continue investigations to identify and locate the individuals indicated and proceed according to the law.
