Montecristi.– The former Major League baseball player and native of the province of Montecristi, Nelson Cruz, positively valued the inauguration of the new power plant in the region, highlighting its importance for local development and job creation.
“It’s a before and after with this type of work, it changes lives, generates employment and provides relief in what would be the energy problem we have as a country,” said Cruz, during the activity led by President Luis Abinader. The former athlete highlighted the attention that the president has placed on the province of Montecristi, noting that projects like this one boost investment and strengthen local infrastructure. “Very happy, I want to thank all the players for their support and also the Dominican fans for their backing. None of this would have been possible without the raw material of those Dominican players who said yes and gave 100% for this cause,” he stated. Regarding the impact of the work on the northwest line, the former player indicated that the installation of the power plant represents a significant boost for the province. “It has brought development, it has brought many jobs to the province. It’s a before and after, it gives relief to the energy problem we have as a country,” he reiterated.
