Police shoots and kills alleged offender in supposed exchange of gunfire Herrera

Santo Domingo Oeste. – A man with several arrest warrants for different crimes was killed on Thursday afternoon during an alleged exchange of gunfire with National Police agents in the Buenos Aires de Herrera sector. The deceased was identified as Jesús Estrella, known as “Chiquito”, who, according to the police report, was wanted for his alleged participation in armed robberies, breaking into businesses, and distribution of controlled substances.

According to the official version, the event occurred when agents assigned to the O-4 Police Department intervened in a drug sales point in Buenos Aires de Herrera, where they were shot at by the individual. In the response, “Chiquito” fell dead. Authorities reported that a firearm and several portions of narcotic substances were seized at the scene, and that the investigation continues to find other alleged members of the dismantled distribution network.
