Public figures and nominees highlight talent and the values of Dominican youth at the National Youth Award

Santo Domingo.– In the framework of the thirtieth edition of the National Youth Award, authorities, nominees and artists agreed on highlighting the talent, preparation and values that characterize Dominican youth, emphasizing the award as a platform that drives the development and future of the country. Senator Gustavo Lara pointed out that the recognition of young people from different provinces and categories should serve as an example and inspiration for other young people, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening values and principles as the basis for the success and sustainability of the nation. “Today, young talents who should become role models for other young people in the country will be awarded,” he said.

On his part, lawyer Jean Cristofer Pérez, nominated in the Professional Achievement category, stated that the ceremony highlights the large number of prepared and committed young people in the Dominican Republic. Pérez, a native of the province of Elías Piña, emphasized that the award demonstrates that talent has no geographical limits and that from any point in the country one can contribute to social development. Likewise, singer and actress Chelsy Bautista assured that the National Youth Award is proof that effort and perseverance are recognized, and valued that the award rewards young people from different social strata and disciplines. Bautista urged young people to constantly prepare themselves, pointing out that education, formal or not, is key to taking advantage of opportunities when they arise. The artist also highlighted that, despite the negative messages that sometimes predominate in public discourse, there are more young people who are committed to work, training, and progress, which is evidenced by the large number of applications received for the award and the presence of young professionals in universities and workplaces.
