In a close dialogue with the beneficiary families, the general director of Supérate, Mayra Jiménez, expressed that, in La Vega, the program Aliméntate impacts 61,496 families, being the one with the greatest coverage; followed by Bono Gas, with 53,201 beneficiary households, and Bono Luz, which reaches 32,821 families. Likewise, the Avanza subsidy benefits 3,994 households, while Aprende reaches 1,973 families.
On the other hand, initiatives aimed at specific populations, such as Supérate Mujer and support for families with girls, boys, and adolescents continue to expand social coverage under an inclusive approach. The event was attended by the senator of the province of La Vega, Rogelio Genao, who highlighted the effort of Supérate, for approaching the communities and listening directly to the beneficiary families, which reflects the focus of the social policy of President Luis Abinader, focused on helping those who need it most.
Meanwhile, the director of the Cibao Sur Regional of Supérate, Aracelis Pérez, stated that “this meeting is conceived as a space for active listening, aimed at knowing firsthand the experiences, advances and challenges of the communities, as well as the opportunities that can continue to be built together”. The event took place in the multipurpose hall of the center of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), La Vega, which was attended by congresswoman Carolin Mercedes; the mayor of the municipality of Concepción, Amparo Custodio; the mayor of the municipal district El Rincón, Enmanuel Ramírez; the director of the UASD center in La Vega, Cristian González; the regional manager of the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa), Iván Cárdenas; councilwomen Luz del Alba and Clari Ángeles, and local authorities.
