Young people entrenched in Guachupita surrender to the Police after mediation

SANTO DOMINGO.– The young people who remained entrenched in the Guachupita sector, after being linked to a criminal act, surrendered this Sunday to the authorities, after a mediation led by the spokesman for the National Police, Colonel Diego Pesqueira. During the delivery, those involved also handed over a firearm that would be related to the case that motivated the operation.

The situation, which had generated tension in the area, concluded without incident thanks to the intervention of Pesqueira, who acted as a mediator between the young people and the investigators. The official highlighted that this type of approach seeks to prevent confrontations and ensure that the procedures are carried out within the law. The detainees were taken into custody, while the Police continue with the investigations to determine their level of responsibility.
