Bad Bunny, two recurring figures in the global music scene, will seek in the
68th edition of the Grammy Awards to follow the triumphant path that Beyoncé marked last year and achieve their own records that would engrave their names in the history of rap and the urban genre, respectively.
The 38-year-old Californian rapper, who arrives at the gala on February 1st as the artist with the most nominations, has the possibility of establishing himself as the rap legend with the most Grammys —he currently has 22— if he wins at least 4 of his 9 nominations, which would allow him to surpass
Kanye West, who has 24, and Jay-Z, with 25.
Although he will face as a rival in the three main categories —best album, record and song of the year— a “Bad Bunny” positioned as the most listened to artist in the world, who, in addition, will seek to be the first Latino to take the most coveted awards in the same night.
Neither of them will have a clear path, as other artists like Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, or Billie Eilish are pursuing their own brands and could be a thorn in their side.
