Puerto Rico.– The presentation of Los hijos de Rubby Pérez, scheduled for this Sunday, June 29, during the traditional Balseada del Río Camuy, was canceled due to immigration problems, according to the event producer, Tommy Stuart.
The cancellation is due to issues with the renewal of the visa and work permit of Zulinka Pérez, daughter of the deceased merengue singer, which prevents her entry to Puerto Rico to participate in the event. This was confirmed by Enrique Paulino, representative of the group on behalf of W Event LLC.
Despite this drop, the activity continues with the rest of its artistic programming, which includes the participation of “The Queen of Merengue”, Milly Quezada, as the main closing act of the night.
“Agradecemos al público por su comprensión ante una situación que escapa de nuestras manos. Ni nuestra empresa ni el Municipio de Camuy tienen control sobre estos trámites migratorios. Hicimos todo lo posible para buscar alternativas desde que se nos notificó el problema”
, expresó Stuart.
The new date for the presentation of Los hijos de Rubby Pérez in Camuy will be announced soon.
