A woman and her 2 children died in England when their house burned down the day after Christmas

London.- A mother and two children died in a fire that destroyed their home on Boxing Day (December 26) in Gloucestershire -southwest England- in the early hours of the morning, while the father managed to escape the fire and was taken to the hospital, according to the British Police today.

Emergency services were called at three o’clock in the morning local time, in Brimscombe Hill in Stroud -Gloucestershire- to a property in which the fire had spread, leaving a seven-year-old girl and a four-year-old trapped, along with their mother. While the father managed to get out of the building and was taken to the corresponding medical services, where he is recovering, the Police are still working to recover the body of the second minor due to the instability of the property. According to police investigation the fire started on the ground floor and it is not believed that there were suspicious circumstances surrounding the cause. Detective Superintendent Ian Fletcher described it as a “tragic incident”.

Both parents woke up due to the fire at three in the morning and tried to reach the children’s room, with the father being the one who went out the bathroom window before trying to reach the little ones’ room window. The father did not achieve his goal due to the “ferocity and heat” of the fire as the fire “had spread”, added the inspector.
