The roller coaster involved was Stardust Racers, according to Universal officials in a statement. It is described on the resort’s website as “an impressive dual-launch roller coaster that reaches incredible speeds of up to 62 mph”.

After the autopsy was released, Universal said it could not comment beyond its previous statement due to the ongoing investigation.“We are devastated by this tragic event and extend our deepest condolences to the visitor’s loved ones. We are fully cooperating with Orange County and the ongoing investigation. The attraction remains closed,” said a spokesperson for Universal Orlando Resort in a statement.
