Madrid.- Princess Tatiana Radziwill, second cousin of the former Queen consort of Spain, Sofía, and one of the people she trusted the most, passed away last Friday at the age of 86, according to reports from Semana and Hola magazines, as confirmed by EFE sources close to the family.
Born on August 28, 1939, in the French city of Rouen,
Tatiana Radziwill was the daughter of the Polish-Lithuanian Prince Dominico Rainiero Radziwill and
Princess Eugenia of Greece, who in turn was a cousin of King Paul of Greece, father of Queen Sofía, wife of the Spanish king emeritus Juan Carlos I.
Radziwill and the queen emerita were, therefore, second cousins.
Queen Sofía maintained a close relationship over the years with Princess Tatiana Radziwill, who accompanied her on different official trips, followed regattas with her in which her son, the King of Spain, Felipe VI, participated, or was with her during some hospitalization of the emeritus king Juan Carlos I.

Princess Tatiana Radziwill also attended different celebrations such as the 40th wedding anniversary of Juan Carlos and Sofía, in 2002, or the baptisms of many of their grandchildren, including that of Princess Leonor, held in 2006.
