The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that those who know his people and their history should know that the Iranian nation is not a nation that surrenders. Jameneí made these statements via X, after the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire between both parties. “Israel and Iran have fully agreed that there will be a total CEASEFIRE (in approximately six hours, when both countries have completed their final missions), for 12 hours,” announced the US president on his social network Truth Social, congratulating the parties involved. “Officially, Iran will initiate the ceasefire and, at 12 hours, Israel will initiate it and, at 24 hours, the world will officially announce the end of the ’12-day war’,” Trump explained. “This is a war that could have lasted for years and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and it never will!” exclaimed the leader. “May God bless Israel, may God bless Iran, may God bless the Middle East, may God bless the United States of America, and may God bless the world!” he concluded.

Ceasefire?

So far, Iran has not received any ceasefire proposal and sees no reason for one, a senior Iranian official told CNN. “Right now, the enemy is committing aggression against Iran, and Iran is about to intensify its retaliatory attacks, with no ears to hear the lies of its enemies,” he declared. In addition, the official stated that his country will continue to fight until achieving a lasting peace and that he will consider the comments from Israel and the United States as a “deception” aimed at justifying attacks on Iran’s interests.
