Washington.- U.S. President Donald Trump asserted this Monday that Iran notified the U.S. in advance of the bombing that Tehran carried out today against its air base in Qatar and called the attack “very weak.”

Following that, the American president published another short message in which he wrote “CONGRATULATIONS, WORLD, IT’S TIME FOR PEACE!”. The Iranian attack on Al Udeid base, the largest US base in the Middle East, was carried out with short and medium-range ballistic missiles in retaliation for the bombing that Washington carried out over the weekend on key interests of Tehran’s nuclear program. “Iran has officially responded to our destruction of its nuclear facilities with a very weak response, something we expected and have countered very effectively. 14 missiles were fired: 13 were shot down and one was allowed to go, as it was heading in a non-threatening direction,” Trump wrote in the first of the messages recently published on Truth Social. “I am pleased to report that no Americans were harmed and that there was virtually no damage. Most importantly, (the Iranians) have vented and hopefully there will be no more hatred,” he added. It is believed that the Iranian counterattack has been designed to avoid further escalating the military conflict in the region, since, in addition to the advance notification, Tehran had warned days ago that it could bomb US bases in the Middle East if attacked by Washington and, consequently, Al Udeid had already been partially evacuated when the offensive took place today.
